“I am please to give a five star review again, after giving a few 3 stars. I leave it up to the sake poets to describe what is here for me that isn't there with some other sakes. This was a satisfying sake that had some definite character, although it is beyond me to say just what that character is. I quote from the bottle: "exceptionally layered and complex flavor: My only quibble: the happy owl that is so easy to see on the website photos is actually quite hard to see on the bottle.”
“This is a surprisingly nuanced sake- creamy, fruity, no bite and very little umami. I really enjoyed drinking this on its own, but I can see it accompanying cheese or a robust dessert really well. The beginning of the sip hits with a punch but finishes very gently. A new favorite!”
