Delicious honjozo but I’m still trying to figure out if it was brewed with yeast extracted from olives.

Low acidic, dry, light body premium sake with a slightly sweet aftertaste and subtle notes of melon. I enjoyed it hot at 100-110oF

I haven't had too many honjozos before, but this was a nice one to try. It was dry yet flavorful. Being a honjozo it is a bit more alcohol forward than what folks might be used to. Please give it a try.

Hi Dan Catalano, Thank you so much for your review. Takatenjin “Sword of the Sun” is fruity sake. You also can get juniper and cucumber. If you like to drink fruity sake, I recommend that Shichida which tastes like melon.

Refreshing and tasty! The tasting notes here recommend drinking cold but it was very nice after leaving to room temperature as well. (The bottle actually indicates temperatures up to 100 degrees are acceptable but I didn't try it warmed up). Will definitely get this one again!
