This sake tastes more like a high end plum wine. Very easy to drink and can stand alone. If you don’t like plum wine or plum liquor I wouldn’t purchase it. Most of my guests loved it and were surprised by the sweet fruit flavor. My mother really loved it and I will buy it for her specifically!

One of my favorites, I discovered it at a local Ramen Bar and I'm so glad I could find it online. It's not overly sweet in my opinion.

This is my go to sake. Between the flavor and how well it pairs when I cook catfish, it's very well balanced. Not too sweet, not too bitter either. Perfect blend of flavors.

Hi, Thank you so much for your review. Tozai “Blossom of Peace” is great balance of sake taste. If you like the Tozai, I recommend Tozai Snow Maiden which is creamy texture taste.

I knew at the time of ordering that this was an umeshu (plum wine), but I forgot that when I opened it. So the syrupy sweetness of this one was a bit of surprise. It's not bad, but any means, but anyone who is getting started in sake should know that this will NOT be like sake, and is more like a liqueur or a sweet vermouth. Speaking of which, we ended up mixing this with some gin and a splash of lemon juice to create an amazing sake-tini (1 part Tozai, 2 parts gin). If you like plum wines, this one is great. I'm not a huge fan of it on its own, but mixed in a martini or other cocktail, it lends a fantastic layer of sweetness and floral.

Hi Kelly, Thank you so much for your review. Yes, umeshu (plum wine) is not dry or heavy sake. It is kind of entry-level sake because it is so much strong plum flavor. Yuzu is also the same thing. However, if it mixes up with some other sake like Tozai “Blossom of Peace”, it must be really great flavor and quality! We have the Yuzu assorted set on our website!
