I tried this sake cold, room temperature, and warmed as it remained consistently delicious across temps. It was able to stand up to heavier dishes such as lamb curry and mushroom risotto. Notes of banana and baking spice come through primarily. A very nice drink.

If it were a bit heavier, I'd compare it to a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon on top, but as a junmai it feels more balanced and light than that. Light tasting grain, cinnamon and honey are still definitely the notes I get off of it, however. It's very interesting and comes across as elegant.

A really nice tokubetsu junmai. I definitely get the banana aroma, but it's balanced by great backbone. Pure, clean, but also seems powerful, despite the regular alcohol content. I had with hire-katsu, but expect to really enjoy it on its own. Very interesting.
