3 Point Subsoiler Attachment Fits Cat 2 Tractors Reviews

4.4 Rating 19 Reviews
Read Titan Attachments Reviews

The Single Tine Subsoiler is ideal for creating single-pass deep soil conditioning for water draining and installing wire or water lines. Quickly attach this implement to your Category 2, 3 Point hitch tractor and watch as it plows through hard and dry land 18" below ground. It has a thick reinforced frame and a reversible forged and heat-treated scarifier ripper tooth. We have also included the lower lift pins and the top link pin to help transform your tractor into a ripping machine.

NOTE: True subsoiling depth varies depending on how low your 3 Point hitch gets to the ground. Check the product specifications and your 3 Point hitch before purchasing to ensure you can reach desired depth

Super happy with the subsoiler, extremely heavy duty and well made, functions perfectly. I use it on on John Deere 5103 with front wheel assit and it pulls fine with 35 hp in my moderately sandy soil. I would caution purchasers to make sure they have a larger tractor as the point of the subsoiler only rides about 3" off the ground with my tractor and the 5103 is about the largest tractor frame for its class that i am aware of. This unit would drag with a Kabota or other similar sized rig.

One of the pins that hold the shank in place is missing. I haven't used it, yet.

Tool is heavy duty, unlike the toys some of the farm stores sell. I bought this one over a Brillion due to the cost being less than half. Frame and shank are solid, had trouble with the lift pins. They were Cat 2 but the threads were only 3/4" and were loose in the mounting holes. Bent them (see pics) after about a 100 ft., had to go back and redrill the holes to a true 1 1/8" cat two pin which was fun (bit cost me $60). Works ok now. I've seen others mention the same thing, apparently it's not resonating with Titan. I contacted them about it and this is what I got back: "Can you give us an idea about how deep the subsoiler was during use? Also, can you send a photo of the area that was being worked on please?" Seriously? It's a subsoiler.... We were pulling it with a 3010 John Deere, by no means overpowered. I assume we were running about 18 inches deep , renovating old pasture. I would think if we were out subsoiling the highway, the shear bolt would have broken?? Instead of trying to blame the way we are using the tool, why not just fix it? We did, and now it's fine.
