“This thing takes a landmine to the next level.
I've had it for over 6 months now and I use it for quite a bit more than I anticipated. I love the addition of the viking press exercise to my workout (especially the multiple grip options), but I love this thing for legs. It works very well for alternatives to front squats, and single/ double leg RDLS and straight leg deadlifts. I also use it with an adjustable bench for chest supported rows.
This is a must have product for anyone who ones a landmine.”
“By far this is the cheapest option for a viking press handle. It serves the function I need it to, and I keep finding new exercises to maximize its use. However, there are a couple issues. The bolt used to tighten the handle to the bar is worthless. I have good grip and can't tighten the thing down so it is functional. I think Titan could make a slight change and add a bolt with a t-shaped handle to make it easier to hand tighten the bolt. The only other thing I would add is some light knurling to the bar for additional grip. Overall, I would buy it again, and I can fix the issues I have at home with a welder, a grinder, and a little time.”
“I use this for my own training as a competitive Strongman. Its is very versatile and you can utilize it for pressing movement from a variety of angles and stances to work on you or your clients weakness's. I use it for presses, deadlifts, RDL's, Squats, Lunges, Thrusters, and even cleans. Great space saving tool that adds more utility to your training.”
“I like the variety this adds to my home gym. More stable than free weights and barbells which is why my daughter likes to use it for squats and shoulder presses. Welds aren't perfect but definitely 5 stars for the price. Highly reccomend!”
“I gave it 5 stars taking into consideration its price. At $150, I would give it a couple less for the finishing.
PRO:
- this handle enables you to do the underrated and awesome Viking Press.
- the handle is heavy and solid. Hard to overstate this!
- the powder coat seemed decent and thick
- the closed end cap seems like an improvement to me over V1
- the thick handles feel great in the hands and provide a fat grip effect
- there are several places to grip the handle.
- I didn't really need to use the locking screw.
Con:
- unless you start with mounted at chest height, it might be hard to use the neutral handles from the floor. I '˜clean' the pronated handles to chest height to press.
- the locking screw seems to be minimally useful except for the purposes of scratching your barbell sleeve.
- I found its versatility for other exercises varied a lot. Worked well for deadlifts but as much for rows, for example. But worth the price for the Viking Press alone.
- welds are not neat; but not particularly noticeable to me unless you're looking closely.
- the thick handles are good for pressing comfort but may make some pulling movements too grip intensive.
Overall if you have a landmine, I think it's a no-brainer at 50 bucks just for the pressing motions.”
