X-3 Series Safety Straps 30" (Flat Foot Only) Reviews

4.4 Rating 22 Reviews
Read Titan Fitness Reviews

The Strap Safety System offers many advantages over traditional Pin and Pipe and flip-down safety bars. The 3-inch wide reinforced Nylon webbing is safety rated to 5,000-pounds per strap for 10,000-pounds total strap system capacity. The quick-change j-hook style bracket design allows you to quickly install or adjust your straps – install your Strap Safety System at different heights to have the bar safely roll away from you.

Does everything it says it would do. Works well for squating. Quality is fine. However, the straps are too long for benching. I have an X-3 Flat Foot Power Rack which has a 30-in depth, and I'm not able to set it the straps at a height that protects me without the J-cups having to be set too high to unrack the bar. With the J-cups set at a normal height for benching, and the straps set as high as possible under the J-cups, the straps droop down too low to catch the bar before hitting my head if I were to fail.

Extremely sturdy, well-made, and – not that it matters – but good looking too.

The "30 inch" safety straps are being advertised to fit the 30 inch X-3 power rack. Well, they don't. The actual straps I received are almost 34 inches. Each J- cup attachment adds another 3 inches. This means the straps sag about 10 inches. When you add in the drop from the J-cups it sags around 16 - 18 inches below the barbell height. If you need to use them for bench press, you can't place the straps high enough without running into the barbell J-cups. The bar hits your chest before the safety straps do anything. The workmanship looks fine, but the design doesn't work. If they shorten the strap by 6 inches, it would work great. This design is half of the reason for a low score. After almost two weeks of trying to return them, I get an email saying the design team is looking into it and will get back with me in a month or two. I really wanted to give Titan a try. I read plenty of old reviews of poor craftsmanship, but new ones seemed to say it was no longer an issue. I also read plenty of reviews saying the straps were too long. I wanted to trust Titan listened and fixed the issue. Obviously not. The last straw was telling me it will take a couple months to fix their mistake. I gave them a chance to make it right, but they didn't come through. I guess my other attachments will be from someone else. I was really hoping to find one good company and stick with them.

This Strap system is heavy and for sure with stand lot of weight. I just need to mark the poles with labels. So can be used same for squatting and bench presses and others. I dont have any issues with package upon delivery.

I originally bought the 36” straps to fit my 36” rack. However, I found that their length caused too much of a droop and I wasn’t able to use them as safeties when benching. Saw a review or two about going one size down and decided to give the 30” length a shot. It’s very taught inside the 36” rack but not a burden to get in place by any means. Plenty of give under load to allow for spotting without an abrupt stop too high or low if you’re in-between hole spacing. Can’t say you should size down to a 24” if you have a 30”, but if you have a 36” rack, a size down to these 30” straps is probably a good move.

I use the 30" straps on the 36" X3 and they fit great. Nice welds and coating and far more convenient than the pin and pipes.

These are solid and very strong. Only complaint is there is no UHMW plastic protection against metal on metal but I just put some gorilla tape on the inside of the attachment to pad it.
