The Strap Safety System offers many advantages over traditional Pin and Pipe and flip-down safety bars. The 3-inch wide reinforced Nylon webbing is safety rated to 5,000-pounds per strap for 10,000-pounds total strap system capacity. The quick-change j-hook style bracket design allows you to quickly install or adjust your straps – install your Strap Safety System at different heights to have the bar safely roll away from you.

“Quality of the straps is very good and I'm sure they will support any weight that I can lift, but there is one major issue. The 36" straps are too long for a 36" depth rack. In order to place the straps where they would support weight in a "failed" lift, you need to put one end of the strap significantly higher than the other, or else the attachment points will be ABOVE where your j-hooks are for the lift. As a result there is a downward orientation of the strap right towards your neck if you are benching. I'm sure you can stop the bar from rolling to hit you but it has me somewhat concerned. I wish I had just gotten the pin and pipe or the flip down safeties.”

“They work, and seem to be constructed well, but left me wishing I had just gotten the pin and pipe safeties. At this price point these should be dialed in but instead seem like a product that wasn't really tested out before it was released. They're a good 3-4" longer than they need to be and that makes for a more complicated setup than should be necessary on any benching lifts.”

“Bought these to get rid of the cumbersome pipe and pin safeties that came with my Body-Solid rack. these fit great and to prove a point to friends and family i purposely dropped a heavy load on them - and - they worked!! i also use them as a starting point for rack pulls and shrugs - nice, easy and QUIET. Pipe and pin to the recycle nin!!”
