The ceiling in my basement is only 74 inches, but I moved out of my apartment and into a house so I could have a home gym, and damn it if I wasn't going to make it happen. Luckily, the T-2 rack is available in a 71-inch height and at a great price. Assembly wasn't any harder than I expected (though there's no way I could have done it without a buddy to hold stuff while I put the bolts through) and once it all came together I was very happy with how sturdy and stable this rack is. I'll take Titan's word for it on the 850 lb limit on racked weights; I'm not likely to ever hang more than 300 on it, and it seems like it could certainly handle way more. It holds steady when I do pull-ups, which was something I was a little worried about. I'm 5'11" so I do have to duck a little bit to get under the front cross bar, but that's an unavoidable part of a rack that's only six feet high. In short, if you know what 71 inches is and that's the size you need for your space, this is a perfect option for you. I'm sure the taller one feels similarly robust, and is cheaper than the T-3 while having a maximum weight capacity that, let's be honest, is more than you'll probably ever need. Get it.

Rack is just what I needed. It’s very short. Putting back heavy weight on the bench press you will need some weights to hold it down or to bolt it into the ground. No matter how hard you try to be “gentle” the cage will move on the floor and you will eventually have to strip it down and align it in the position you prefer again. That’s the only part that I wish I could change but when you don’t have a huge mega cage you will have to do this with any brand. Don’t let that deter you though. This cage along with the lat tower extension is a great fit to smaller room or basement.

Hard to beat for the money. Easy assembly. Box comes beat but nothing missing or damaged inside.

This rack is great for me. Pay for good quality without overpaying; the price really was a sweet spot for me. Assembly was easy and fairly quick. Shipping to my home was fast as well. Overall great product, I'm happy to be able to train at home safely. Looking forward to the various attachments in the future; the price of which was also a factor in my decision to purchase this rack over others.

I chose the short T-2 power rack. It is definitely very short. I am 5'6" and doing a pull up means my knees are about 4 inches off the ground which is fine but someone taller probably couldn't really use this rack. This was the best option for my ceiling height though. I would buy the taller one if you have the ceiling height. The quality of this rack is good. It definitely feels a little wobbly , not unsafe, just wiggles a bit more than some heavier duty racks when racking weights. I don't lift super heavy weights and I don't beat on my equipment so this rack should hold up just fine. I probably wouldn't want this rack if I was lifting 300+ lbs consistently. I don't particularly care for the safety bars as they are a pain to get through 2 sets of holes, but at least they are included, and numbers on each hole would make life a lot easier when adjusting height of hooks and bars. It took about 25-30 minutes to build with an extra set of hands (highly recommended) and a ratchet and wrench set (you need two, one for the bolt and one for the nut). Tightening the nuts too tight causes some of the rack members to compress and bend. Keep in mind that it should be tight and snug, not hulk tight. The powder coat finish is okay, it hasn't chipped or rubbed off after 2 weeks. A good wipe down is necessary, lots of black powder coat residue left over. Rubber stall mats or gym flooring is good to have under the feet, the plastic feet do not have any sort of non skid on them so the rack has a tendency to move around a bit. it looks like you could mount it to the floor if you wanted to though. All that being said, this is definitely worth the investment. This rack and all necessary equipment to build a quality home gym will pay for itself in no time (No expensive gym memberships any more). This rack is versatile and well worth the money, oh and the shipping was pretty fast too. 2 weeks.... not too shabby.

Well constructed and easy to assemble. I wish I had gotten the tall version but I am grateful. I thought about this for months before actually making the purchase and it’s really opened the possibilities for different types of exercises. I canceled my gym membership after a couple weeks of having it because I prefer to be able to make my ugly workout faces at home! Just ordered another barbell (previously had the 60in barbell which isn’t rackable) and am excited for its arrival. Looking forward to many years of good use.
