“I bought them to be used during bench press. The way they and the rack are designed they don’t go low enough to be used during bench press. They only work for squat. I saved up for them only to be disappointed. If you want spotter arms for bench press these are not the ones. The bolts that hold the rack in place block the spotter arms from being able to connect”
“Wish I had gotten these sooner. I workout in a small space & don’t have lifting blocks, so these are a great substitute for me and they take up very little storage space. Very sturdy!”
“These arms are attached to my Titan T-3 squat stands. I got them in an attempt to do floor presses (see photo). Even with the added 50 pounds of weight plates holding down each squat stand, once I loaded 185 pounds onto the bar the squat stands came up off the floor - scaring me half to death.
I understand these spotter arms should be attached to a full squat rack that is bolted to the floor, so my review is for the quality of the spotter arms. For a frame of reference I’ve loaded 250+ pounds for squats and re-racked on J hooks and squat stands held up just fine.
I’m going to keep arms and use them to spot me on regular bench. I think if weight is lowered halfway onto spotter arm instead of all the way to edge it should be fine for regular bench should I not be able to get weight up.”
