It works as advertised. I have a basement with 92” ceilings and limited space and the conversion kit gave me what I wanted: more stability on squat rack and a place to put pegs to store my weights. I loaded bar with over 300 pounds on the spotter arms and did dips on the bar and rack stayed put. My half rack looks weird because I initially bought a T-3 tall squat stand that I stored outside for pull-ups and independent T-3 squat stands I used inside. I never felt totally comfortable squatting heavy with my squat stands because spotter arms don’t really work with squat stands. The conversion kit allowed me to use my tall squat stand base with my independent squat stand uprights, since my basement couldn’t handle the 92” uprights. I now use my functional trainer for pull-ups.

This completes the rack. I just wish I knew a complete set was available to save a little time and money on my home gym build.

I was on fence about buying this extension, buy it! The storage space alone is the reason to buy this extension.

This is not a hate review. As it stands everything works, no technical defect, no rust or quality control issues. However, I cannot recommend this product having put it together for several reasons: 1.) For the total cost of buying both the squat rack and the half rack conversion, you save no floor space and no money. Even ordering as I did both the short stand and the conversion kit. Ultimately it would have been far more cost effective to just get a power rack. 2.) The short uprights have a logo "T" etched out in place of the second to the top side hole spacing, severely limiting attachment compatibility or functionality 3.) Instead of using a design that could take advantage of their side stabilizer dimensions, they use a single piece of steel with the "Titan" logo etched... Preventing any kind of additional storage or attachment options on the top of the "half rack" 4.) Especially with the short squat stand... The bracing for the second pair of uprights makes it so any weight storage, though not making the system unstable does bow the frame out. Some simple redesigns with less of a focus on branding the unit, and more on end user function would make this 5/5 very easily. A.) No branding interference with hole spacing B.) Utilize dimensions of existing side stabilizer products for connection to uprights C.) Sell as half rack combo kit with a total cost less than buying both required products separately.
