The extension kit does its job and is overall a great way to store weights while saving space, since a weight tree is no longer required and this doesn't increase the footprint of the rack. Unfortunately the extension's greatest strength (not increasing the footprint) is also its greatest weakness because large weights and bumper plates stored on the pegs will come in contact with weights on the barbell due to the extension kit being too close to the working area of the main uprights. There are a few ways around this - I moved one set of middle pegs to the lowest position on the front uprights and another set of middle pegs to the inside of the extension kit. This way I can store the largest plates on the bottom and inside pegs. This config also works well for bumper plates. The other workaround is using the front uprights instead of the middle uprights to rack your barbell. This way you can have all your bumpers lined up on the outside of the extension, this method can get awkward with the bench press though because the bottom cross bar can get in the way since you have to reverse the orientation of the bench. This storage configuration isn't as straightforward as just buying a 6 post rack with enough space for clearance or even using a separate weight tree, but it can help you out if you are tight on space/money and you don't mind bending over all the time.

Fit my T-2 perfectly. The attachment fits over the weight posts and is easy to add on. Weight holders are a little short, but there are plenty of them.

This attachment kit for my T-2 is super easy to install and to me, makes me feel safer. Great way to store some or all of your weight. Pegs are adjustable so you can put them as you need. Great addition to my home gym

The extension is a must have if you are going to own a rack. It is perfect for weight storage and doesn't take up any additional room. The only thing you need to watch out for is if you store your plates on the outside they can sometimes get in the way of benching. The easy fix was to store them on the inside of the rack or reposition them.

I decided on ordering the extension kit for my T2 rack because I liked the idea of storing my weights on the rack. It definitely makes the T2 look better, in my opinion. It does come with 8 weight holders; however, it it would have been nice if Titan had included plastic padding on the inside of the holder where it sits on the uprights. The one thing to be aware about is that the extension kit and the lat pulldown attachment are not compatible. You can only attach one of these to the rack and not both. Overall it’s a great attachment and stores a lot of weights.
