The linear hack squat works great. Nice, smooth operation, and can be loaded pretty heavy. If you are much taller than 6 feet and/or have very long legs, you may have some trouble hitting full depth, but for most people it should be a good fit. The documentation and assembly instructions can use work. A couple parts were mislabeled in the documentation which was a little confusing, but the instructions for installing the spring are outright incorrect. I don't know if they changed from the initial design or what, but look up assembly instructions (specifically for installing the spring) on YouTube, because some steps in the instructions are impossible to follow as written. I was also a little annoyed because the central frame of the unit arrived damaged, with a significantly bent bracket that prevented assembly. I let titan know and they said if I could straighten it out, they would give a partial refund. With a hammer, some vise grips, and some elbow grease, I got the bracket mostly straight, but it looks pretty ugly and beaten up, and they only ended up giving a $50 refund on a $700+ machine. I was expecting 10% at the absolute bare minimum.

Great product for leg day. The instructions were a little difficult to read which seems to be common for a lot of people that purchased this product. I had to watch a video on YouTube by another person who bought this equipment. I have a lot of Titan equipment but this one was the most difficult to assemble.

I've been using the Plate-Loaded Linear Hack Squat Machine for about a month now and am very happy with it. The action is smooth, the machine is comfortable, and the size fits well in my home gym. Delivery was quicker than I expected. I was a little hesitant about assembly after reading some of the reviews stating difficulty with the spring. I found that with a little finesse and mechanical aptitude, the spring wasn't that hard to do. My only complaint is with the owner manual / assembly instructions. I found it to be poorly written so sometimes difficult to understand. I was guided mostly by the illustrations. Also either the manual or web specs should state the weight capacity. I inquired via their chat. The agent (Angelo) had to check with the product development team. After a few weeks, I was informed that the user weight is 300 lbs and the plate limit is 419 lbs. That information should be readily available as it influences the user's choices. Overall, I still give the machine high marks since it rivals similar machines I've used in commercial gyms, at a much lower price. I also appreciated the agent's professionalism and tenacity in getting an answer to the weight capacity question.

Delivery was less than a week, boxes (2) were in good shape and the equipment was well protected. The only issue I had while assembly was the C channel on the carriage was slightly bent and would not fit over the lower footing. I used a large crescent wrench to latch on to the C frame edge and made a couple of bends to open the C to allow the necessary clearance. Otherwise fit and finish was perfect. Very smooth and I don’t have the spring rub some have mentioned. Overall nice piece for someone who needs to add some leg strength but has a compromised back.

When I first got the machine one of the parts were bent upon opening it. I rigged the machine and it worked ok but after they sent me the replacement parts it’s much better go figure lol.. I took the safety stoppers off the two guide rods and now the range of motion is MORE than I need. Highly recommend taking them off when building it yourself if you are under 6ft

The machine itself has been great quality material used. Feels good when using it plate bars could be improved they feel like they can bend easy. Overall great product. However, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had to build. I saw everyone’s complaint on it to install the spring on it and it was so annoying and just horrible design on it. The instructions are horrible to follow and I have built a lot of gym equipment. There is no reference to rely on outside of the instructions that only available in digital format which made it even harder. You can find one YouTube video of someone who puts it together and even then it’s not a great video but it is somewhat helpful.

Machine works great. Putting it together was not great. Instructions are difficult and yes the spring was a problem. But very happy with finished product.

Very well made material, easy to use, only certain bumper plates fit but steel plates are better. The only negative is the instructions which are somewhat vague but other than that it's a great addition and investment to any gym.
