Tried the spotter hooks from other brands and didn't care for the wider grip. Using these dumbbell holders helps take some of the strain out of your heavy dumbbell presses. Incline, flat and shoulder presses all start off better now.

Very sturdy. I'm 5'10". I use them for most of my dumbbell workouts to avoid bending over to pick up weights. For bench pressing, the dumbbells are a comfortable distance apart. The only workout I can't use these for are seated dumbbell shoulder presses because the weights hit the holders. These have become part of nearly every dumbbell workout I do now.

These function as the should. They Mount to my Titan rack and support all the weight you can put on them just fine. My gripe is that they aren't super functional. I find they end up getting in the way more so than they help. It's a great concept that still needs a little tweaking somehow. On flat bench you have to slide down the bench so far so you don't hit them when extended you almost need a lift off to get them untracked.

Unracking and racking DBs is optimal, however these need tweaking to be good. The should angle in some to allow for a more neutral grip position. These force a wide 90 degree angle grip, so elbows have to be heavily flared out, which unnecessarily stress the shoulders. Also extending them inward just an inch or two would also allow for a narrower grip lift off. To recap, lift off is both very wide and flares elbows to a 90 degree angle to torso. Racking them back again requires the use to go very wide and with excessively flared elbows. This is even more challenging as one is fatigued at the end of the set.
