“I just got the TwistLock pro collars about two weeks ago (old wire clamp collars were getting loose after 30 years so would slide with even 5-10 pounds of pull) and they are great since they don't flare up my carpal tunnel syndrome (new wire clamp collars required too much force and were flaring up my carpal tunnel syndrome). My barbell diameter is about 1.96 and 1.99 inches on each end. The Twist Lock pro fit very snugly on them. Doesn't slide even with a hard pull with 3 plates on each side.
My only concern, which is mild is that when I try to quickly slide in and off, it may catch for 1 second, which slows down how fast I can put on/remove the collars by 1 second.
These are solidly made and will outlive me.”
“Bench and squat the collars stay tight and work fine. Curl, deadlift and leg extensions, where weights turn or shock is involved, the collars twist loose. Still have to take lever clamps with me to the gym. These are a novelty item honestly. I'd like my money back.”
