SquatMax-MD Reviews

The SquatMax-MD is a belt squat machine designed to deliver real squat strength—without the stress on your back, shoulders, or spine. Whether you're recovering from injury, training around pain, or just want to push your lower body harder, this machine gives you serious results with less risk.
This vertical loading system shifts weight directly under your hips, activating the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and core—all with a natural squat motion. No barbell required.
With a 1,000 LB weight capacity, the SquatMax-MD gives you room to grow. Add resistance bands and use the included transformer pin to customize loading angles and make your squats even more effective.
A true 1:1 loading ratio keeps resistance consistent throughout the lift. That means better muscle activation, better control, and less strain mid-rep.
Made with 11-gauge steel, this machine is built to last. It features a padded seat, rear transport wheels, and knurled handles for comfort and easy movement around your home gym.

Love it. Brian Hennasy made possibly one fo the best leg machines known to man. Having had back issues from back squats for 3 years now, my motivation and drive to go into the gym has crumbled. Builidng a home gym, and incorporating the squatmax as one of my main garage pieces has been a complete game gymer. I just love hopping on this thing. It's unbelievably versatile, and simple. I was almost certain I was going to go with the Rogue Rhino, but I'm glad I saved the $1500 and went with this instead. The foot print of this is just so much smaller.

I love my Squatmax MD from Titan Fitness. It's incredibly sturdy and well-built, yet it was a simple and quick build that is easy to move with the wheels and handle. It has become the main staple on my leg days, and I can't wait until I'm able to allocate enough funds to purchase the attachments package!

The product for the price is fantastic. It’s very robust and surprisingly versatile if you get the attachments. My only two concerns are 1)the assembly process was very confusing (the instruction file I had to look up was very confusing) and could have easily been resolved with a clear YouTube video of the process and 2) the belt itself is not the most comfortable (I ordered the spud inc adjustable pillow belt as a replacement but Fringe’s Mammoth belt squat came with a much better belt also). Considering I bought this with attachments for far less than the Rhino I think this was a great deal. [Be prepared to break a giant wooden box on a pallet for this one]

I can’t barbell squat anymore due to an injury. The SquatMax makes it so that I can keep doing leg day and absolutely love it.

I'm a competitive powerlifter with a lower back injury. When my injury flares up and I can't squat, I need something that will engage my legs to the same degree as squats without putting stress on my vertebrae. I've been using a lever-based belt squat machine that I purchased from a competitor for the last couple of years. Unfortunately, it doesn't engage my legs evenly and I can't load it up like I can with barbell squats, making it a poor substitute. I finally bit the bullet on a SquatMax MD because it's advertised to work differently than the lever-based machines. And I can say this is absolutely true - the machine does everything I want it to. I can load the same weight as I can with barbell squats, and I feel like I'm getting a full squat workout. The 1:1 loading ratio translates to an even lift throughout the squat motion. The machine was easy to put together - took about an hour after all the parts were spread out in my garage. It also has a smaller footprint than my other belt squat machine, which I'm very happy about. If you're thinking about getting this machine but wondering if it will be a good substitute for barbell squats, look no further. This is what you want.
