“The bar works great and comes competitively priced. Works well with standard plates and the bar dimensions are standard with other competing hex bars. However, I am deducting stars because of the issues with packaging and issues with returning/exchanging the item. The item arrived on my doorstep with the packaging completely ruined on one side. It was so badly damaged one of the pole ends of the hex bar itself was fully sticking out of the box. There was damage on the exposed end of the hex bar. I took a look at the packaging and saw there wasn't any protection in the box for the bar ends. No foam ends or any sort of capping protection. There is some sort of glass material at the hex bar ends to allow for display of the Titan brand and the product details, and said glass material was chipped and coming off all over the place because of the damage. It was a pain in the ass to clean up. I understand transit damage can happen and that would be out of Titan's hands, but poor packaging is something that can be controlled by Titan. Getting an exchange was also not the best process, especially give Titan changed it's return policy around the time I purchased the product. Please be aware Titan expects the customer to not only pay for return shipping, but also a 20% restocking fee. As a customer, be prepared to be thorough in your purchasing decision before buying anything from Titan. It's pretty insane to expect the customer to pay for returns when shippings costs are more than the item itself! Thankfully, given the damage my bar experienced in transit, Titan was ok with exchanging the bar with a new one, and they provided a return label for the initial bar. The new hex bar arrived without damage (thank god), but there didn't seem to be any updates to the packaging strategy. I hope Titan is able to address these packaging issues because the product is great (I also have the T2 rack), but the return policy is out of this world. It seems from a customer perspective this is where Titan can save costs and extend the savings to the customer, but not having something like a 30 day trial period with free returns can be detrimental to the overall business. In conclusion, the product is at a great price point, but you may have to deal with packaging/transit issues and an expensive return policy. It's also absurd Titan expects the customer to also pay for shipping protections during purchase; a cost of which isn't easily seen by the customer until late into the checkout process.”
