“Added the 10 & 12 line weights to my quiver recently from Tom's. On dealing with Tom's, the service is excellent with delivery within 1 day (to Sydney). Shipped items were packed well and safe for the travel through the postal service. Did not experience any delays through COVID-19.
Rods are marked medium fast which I generally prefer but note though the heptagonal design does appear to reduce rod recovery quite significantly; such that it behaves like a fast action rod from other manufacturers. This design also makes these rods extremely accurate at medium to longer distances with good timing. But tough with high-quality parts. Given this structural rigidity benefits from the design, the 5 weight throws streamers with ease, the the 10/12 weights are more than competent with large clousers and GT flies. The R&D that has gone into the heptagonal design and the results to accuracy is worth the price alone.”
“The 7x performs like champ. Accuracy is uncannily constant at short to medium range. Long range casting requires good timing. Don't force it & the rod will do all the work. Quality rod.”
