“I’ve spent the last couple of months fishing the Boundary 100 on the small rivers in NE VIC for cod (not on fly) as an upgrade to the kayak. Overall the raft has been great, I still use my kayak to drag upstream into the tight water but the raft has been great for the drift. Being a bigger vessel you need to pick your line in the fast water as it doesn’t have the same manoeuvrability as the kayak, and it can be tricky to get into tight spots to retrieve snagged lures. The frame and oars are great and you can really put a lot of force through them without any flex. The raft has a shallow draft which is good for the small water and has stood up to some rough country being dragged over rocks and through the more sketchy rapids. Being able to stand and fish in place is probably the biggest benefit, and the slight one handed positioning adjustments with the oars mid pool can be handy. I anticipated using kick fins but this is probably more suitable for the still water without so much flow or portage. Some initial setup measurements would help, NRS have a YouTube video on the setup that gives you some idea. The rear storage when loaded up can get heavy in the rear which wants to face downstream in the faster water, I recommend pushing the seat a bit further forward on the rail and loading your heavy gear closer to the middle where possible to balance the raft a bit. Overall really happy with it and keen to get on to the larger water. Unfortunately went on sale after purchase”
