“Writing about the kit is pointless. Everyone knows MSR is quality.
A better point is writing about how quickly I received the items.
A tremendous point is talking about how helpful was Chris in answering questions.
Suggestions to MSR... there's a large O-Ring in the kit. No explanation where it goes. No video shows it's goes between pump and bottle.
Another suggestion is that cleaning the wire much more frequently is beneficial. I'm cleaning with Shellite every other bottle used. With 89 octane after every bottle used. And if I have to use higher octane fuel. Probably after every time I use the stove.
Also, I take fine sandpaper to scrub the wire...and wipe the wire on a towel, it always comes off black.
I'm getting to a point though where I will not be able to clean the stove. The amount of pressure on my thumb to push the wire back into the tube is getting tooooo painful. There ought to be a better way.
Also, I need to Super tighten the pump to the bottle to keep fumes coming out and catching fire. A suggestion to MSR would be to tell people to always have the bottle slightly higher than the stove. That way, the fumes from the stove will go away from the bottle.
Also, then to open the bottle is getting difficult for my ageing hands.
The system can get some improvements for old times to use it. Salaam”
