QU11054 New Process Transfer Case Rear Extension Assembly
is a genuine NPG part that includes factory installed QU10130 Rear Driveshaft Support Bushing and a booted Rear Output Seal. QU11054 is specific to 1998-2002 Dodge NP241DLD Transfer Cases that have assembly numbers that end with the letters "AD", but it fits a host of 1981-2002 New Process aluminum chain drive transfer cases with 32 spline output shafts that originally used QU10189 (No longer available) Extension Housing which has a seal made by a different company with a somewhat longer dust boot.
Note: QU11054 Extension can also be used to replace lighter-duty QU50369 Extension.

Tech Note 1: InterchangeableQU10189 (No longer available) and QU11054 are totally interchangeable as the only difference between the two parts is construction differences of the rear seal. Both Seals have extended Dust Boots and are made to fit the same slip yokes. The housings are the same as is the support bushing.
Tech Note 2: NP231HD and SimilarNP231, NP241C Rear Retainer QU50369 has the same bolt pattern, bearing bore, length, seal size and bushing as QU10189 (No longer available) and QU11054, but it should not be used in place of QU10189 (No longer available) and QU11054 because the bolt tabs are not reinforced. QU50369 is intended for 1/2 ton 4x4s with heavy-duty NP231 or similar size transfer cases.
Tech Note 3: LocationQU11054 is at the back of the transfer case. It bolts to the rear bearing retainer with 4 bolts. QU90005 or QU90006 RTV sealant is used between the two parts.
Tech Note 4: New Venture/New Process/MagnaNew Venture was formed as a joint venture between Chrysler's New Process Gear and General Motor's Hydromatic-Muncie transmission divisions in 1990. Chrysler bought out GM's New Venture stake in February of 2002. Chrysler later sold New Venture to Magna, a Canadian automotive parts company. All these name changes are confusing, but the important thing to know is a specific assembly number for any New Process/New Venture transfer case is the same and uses the same replacement parts regardless if it was built by New Venture, New Process, or Magna.
