QT1533 Rear Axle Pinion Seal Installer for 1985-2010 Ford Sterling 10-1/4" and 10-1/2" rear axles. QT1533 is a USA Made special tool that quickly and easily installs your new pinion seal with no damage to the seal or pinion. QT1533 eliminates one of the most common pinion seal installation warranty issues - having the seal garter spring pop-off the seal lip when trying to install the seal using make-shift methods like hitting the seal shell directly with a hammer. The QT1533 Seal Pilot centers your seal on the installer AND it expands the seal lip to put tension on the seal garter spring. If the garter spring is not under tension, it will often be flung off the seal lip from the impact pressure transmitted by your hammer to the seal. You end up either replacing the seal with a new one or if you didn't notice the problem, sending the job out the door only to quickly come back as a warranty job. The full-contact design of the QT1533 drive face, evenly distributes the impact force from your hammer to the seal. No more dinged or bent seals that may fail prematurely. Made by us here in Montana.
