QU40427 GM 10 Bolt and Dana 44 Full Time Front End Hub Cap is a genuine Dana replacement part for 1959-1993 Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, and Jeep 4x4 SUVs and trucks with Dana 44 or GM 10 bolt front axles. These steel Caps are the redesigned cap that was introduced in the 1980's and it is the final production Dana replacement part for QU40427 early model cap that was made from a little heavier gauge of steel. Cap is no longer chrome!

Tech Note 1: No Lockouts QU40427 Dana 44 Hub Cap fits the open end of internally splined Dana 44 front wheel hubs that do NOT have locking hubs including 1973-1979 Chevy, Ford, GMC, and Jeep models with full time Dana 44 or GM 10 bolt front axles. Also fits mid 1980s to 1990s Dodge and Jeep 4x4s with vacuum controlled Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) Dana 44 front axles.
Tech Note 2: Installation and SealingQU40427 is an interference fit part so it needs to be tapped into position with a soft-faced hammer. To provide maximum sealing, I apply a thin bead of RTV sealant around the outside part of the cap that will fit against the wheel hub.
Tech Note 3: Design ChangeQU40427 is a NEW medium gauge cap, it is functionally interchangeable with heavy gauge production caps used in 1960s and 1970s era 4x4s.
