Tech Note 1: Spicer Type CVTwo types of front Double Cardan front Constant Velocity driveshafts were used in Early production Excursion and Super Duty trucks. See Tech Photo to identify if you have a Spicer type front CV shaft.
Tech Note 2: U-JointsThis CV Flange Yoke Yoke accepts external snap ring universal joints made to Spicer 1350 series dimensional specifications. The u-joint cup diameter is 1-3/16" and the overall u-joint width is 3-5/8". Use with TK40719 or QU40731 universal joints.

Tech Note 4: YokeThe 1/2" diameter stud on Ball Stud Tube Yoke (QU40825 or QU40864) MUST be in good shape. If it is not, the bearing rollers contained inside the CV Ball of the will either fall out or break apart in short order. Besides having your Ford broke down again, this type of failure is something we can NOT replace under warranty. Another fairly common no warranty problem is to break a needle bearing by inadvertently dislodging one or more needles during assembly and then forcing the yoke into place.
