Tech Note 1: Before InstallingLubricate the seal lip and yoke shaft with clean grease or petroleum jelly to provide initial lubrication.
Tech Note 2: Tech HelpMore driveshaft yokes are wrecked by slam-bang methods of u-joint replacement than by any other cause. Refer to TM3000 Driveshaft and Universal Joint Manual or TSB3502 External Snap Ring Single-Cardan U-Joint Service.
Tech Note 3: Matching U-JointsThis 32 spline transfer case rear output yoke takes universal joints made to Spicer 1410 series dimensional specifications. The u-joint cup diameter is 1-3/16", the overall u-joint width must be 4-3/16".
Tech Note 4: Matching ShaftsThis Slip Yoke has one double width spline so it will fit shafts made with 32 narrow splines or shafts with 31 narrow splines and one double width spline (what is called a 31 spline based on 32 spline).
