Tech Note 2: 1975-1990.52 TK4206 Kits can be used to replace the original 8 bolt hubs on 1975-1980 W200, W300 and 1981-1990.5 W250, W350 Dodge 4x4 trucks. Tech Note 3: Rotor RunoutIt is relatively unusual for a big 4x4 brake rotor to have less than the maximum allowable runout and rotor thickness variation once it is assembled to a wheel hub. This is due to manufacturing tolerances of the parts and the pressures exerted on the hub and rotor when pressing in the wheel studs. After assembling your brake rotor to the new hub, the rotor should be checked for thickness variation (0.001" {0.025 mm} maximum) and runout (0.005" {0.127 mm} maximum with 0.003" or less preferred). A rotor that is out of tolerance should be machined with an on-the-vehicle brake lathe if possible or on an accurate bench type brake lathe.
Tech Note 4: Rotor to Hub AssemblyMkake sure the matching hub and rotor surfaces are clean. If a suitable fixture is available, install all 8 studs simultaneously, otherwise install the individual studs in a criss-cross pattern to minimize ditrtion of the rotor.
Tech Note 5: Dual Wheel to Single Wheel ConversionsConverting a 1990-1993 Dodge 1 Ton DRW 4x4 front axle from Dual wheel to single wheel hubs is simple because the spindles, axle shafts, brake calipers and brake caliper anchor plates are the same for both Dual Wheel and Single wheel Dana 60 front axles.
