Seal Life Before Installing Seal Leaking Matching Parts Applications
Tech Note 1: Interchangeable This seal is interchangeable with our QU40451 original equipment wheel seal.
Tech Note 2: Seal Life Outer lip prolongs seal life by protecting the inner oil control lip from damaging dirt and dust.
Tech Note 3: Before Installing Always lubricate the lip of your new seal with clean grease before installing the hub on the spindle!
Tech Note 4: Seal Leaking Many wheel seal leaks are caused by pressure building in axle due to a clogged axle vent system. Always check and clear the vent system. Other common causes of leaking seals include improper wheel bearing adjustment (See TSB4008), poor installation techniques (See Tech Notes 2 and 3 above), and worn spindle surface.
