Rebuilding General Motors used the New Venture NV4500 transmission from late 1991 to 2007 in both 4x2 and 4x4 full size applications. Many GM built delivery vans and base chassis models also used the NV4500 with either gas or diesel power.

Dodge Use The NV4500 5 speed was the base transmission on most Dodge gas V8 full size models from 1992 to 2005. Diesel and V10 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks used the NV4500HD as the stock transmission from 1994 to 2004.
