“I purchased this to use as a gasket between the heat exchanger in my pellet stove. The specification said it was rated for 2100 degrees F however when I started the stove I noticed a slight smell. I cut a sample of the gasket from the cutoff, used a lighter to heat up the gasket, it smoked, turned black and when touched disengaged.”
