“I wanted to buy a plastic free kettle (this one was listed on Which as a metal one) but unfortunately I didn't register that this one whilst metal also includes quite a bit of plastic in the form of the measurement guage up the side and the lid. I notice that there is a smell of plastic on boiling and I wonder what chemicals are leaching into the water. Perhaps you can reassure me on this?”
“Kettle ordered directly from Tower and now in use for 2 weeks only. Seems to be working well. My only complaint is that the limescale filter is tiny and gets clogged with scale after only a couple of days use, cutting water flow to a trickle. (I do live in a very hard water area - the south of England). A filter with a bigger area would at least increase the size of the trickle. As a result, I cannot recommend this kettle.
Also, despite ordering the Cavaletto 1.7 Litre Jug Kettle with Rose Gold Accents (as you say), I actually received a champagne coloured one with ordinary gold accents. However, your customer services colleague denies I ordered the Rose Gold one.”
“Easy opening lid and easy to fill. window helps to determine amount of water. On/off switch is very responsive and switches off quickly once the water reaches boiling point. Overall very satisfied with the kettle”
