“I bought this pan/skillet to replace a big old Kenwood electric frypan with a large domed stainless lid which served me well but took up a lot of space but had also lost its non-stick quality. I find this Tower replacement far superior to my old one, firstly that it is not as bulky and has a wonderful low glass vented lid and secondly that the copper-coloured non-stick quality is superb. I much prefer it to black non-stick for food and it certainly is non-stick and so easy to clean. The only drawback is that it is not completely immersable in water - the old had a sealed unit which made this possible. However, it does not detract from it in any way and I find that I am actually using this pan far more than the old, simply because it requires virtually no oil - depending on what is being cooked and as I usually cook on a range, it has come in very handy during hot weather so I do not have to put the range on just to use the top plate. It heats up quickly and easily and is perfectly controllable. The handguard handles do a great job and it is quite lightweight to lift, yet sturdy. All in all, I am very pleased with this Tower skillet so all remains is to see if it will give as good a service as my old (20 years) one but so far I would recommend it to anyone. Indeed I prefer it overall to open frying in a normal frying pan, so much cleaner! Wish I'd changed it sooner.”
