“I've knocked off a star because the original one sent was faulty (failed spot welds and bent spindle). It took several days after emailing Tower for them to respond but to be fair I received an automatic email straight away saying that they were very busy and might take up to a week to get back to me. When they did respond they arranged a replacement pretty swiftly and the replacement item was fine in terms of quality.
As far as the actual item goes, if you're making chips from scratch rather than using frozen ones (which are precooked) it's probably quicker to just use the racks. We ended up having to fry them in a pan as they still weren't done after 25 minutes - possibly they weren't cut thin enough. More experimentation needed. I think it might work well for doing crisps but have not tried yet.”
