“I'm the commissioner of our long-time fantasy football league and last year, my league-mates gifted me, and our league, with an awesome trophy from TrophySmack. It's a beautiful trophy with customized name plates from every winner leading up to this year. The problem with this, though, is that you have to keep buying expensive name plates every year to add to the trophy. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome business to be in for a company like TrophySmack because it's like an annual membership - people have to keep adding to the trophy year after year. My problem is the cost of the name plate. $9 is a hefty price to pay for a piece of thin metal that probably costs $1 to produce. Add in a $6 shipping fee, which is ridiculous in it's own right, and you have a nice $15 annual contribution to the company AFTER buying an already expensive trophy. Here's a thought, guys - if you buy a trophy as nice as the one we got, name plates thereafter should be complimentary, or at least give the next 10/15 free. The model right now takes the fun out of something that should be all fun. I'm not looking forward to contributing $15 extra to this thing for who knows how many years, because I really don't have a choice now, and that stinks.”
