“This is the second cabin we have bought from Tuin and we've been very impressed with the sales and delivery process, the price and the quality on both occasions. The previous cabin bought 3 years ago was the Victoria for general relaxation and this current one is the Parijs which we bough to create a home gym. Each cabin has had four coats of clear Carefree Protect although we had to buy the recent batch direct from Holland due to not being in stock on the Tuin website. The 3 year old Victoria looks as good as new so I would highly recommend spending the money on the treatment to protect your investment. The assembly process on both occasions was very simple, just like putting lego together and I didn't encounter any problems at all with damaged or missing wood. For the Victoria I built a sturdy wooden frame supported with ground spikes due to a sloped surface and therefore not suitable for a concrete base. That was also very simple and the cabin hasn't moved at all. For the Parijs cabin I hired a builder to create a concrete base as I felt that was too much hard work for me personally. I built both cabins entirely on my own and although some of the lengths were heavy and cumbersome I didn't have any particular trouble. Both cabins took about 3 days each to erect and finish although the structure for each was up in one day. The roof, shingles, flooring and insulation and painting took the majority of the time. On both occasions I also hired an electrician as I'm not competent with that. Electrics for the Victoria cost about 1500 but that was across the garden and back to the consumer unit. The Parijs was about 1000 because they spurred from a spare fuse on the Victoria. I've attached photos of the Parijs and will also send photo's (then and now) of the Victoria if there's any interest.”
“I couldn't update my previous review however I really would like to earn anyone who lives in an exposed area not to even consider shingles on the roof. I fitted ours as instructed and luckily had a very hot April during which the shingles should have melted together. This obviously didn't happen as everytime we get wind over 20mph I'm up on the roof sticking more tiles down. I woke up this morning to an Easterly wind only to see more shingles flapping in the wind. Unless your site is well sheltered please don't use shingles. I spent more time fitting them than the summerhouse took to build only to now give up and cover them with roofing felt.”
“Absolutely delighted with the log cabin. Went together better than I thought and didnt have one single issue to report to Tuin. Would give the company 10/10 from the start of the ordering to delivery and through installation. Superb is the only way to describe the experience. Thank you!!”
“The cabin and Tuin have given complete customer satisfaction. The cabin took half a day to install the walls and main beams (1 person). I then took a further day and half to install the roof and shingles again on my own. This would be much quicker if 2 people worked on it. Applying the preserve has taken th Elon gets time using OSMO UV protection oil. Its not cheap but does go a long way. The instructions are the only bit I would suggest could be better although, but with a bit of common sense you can figure it out.”
“We love our cabin. Weve had ours around 3 years now. Had great service and delivery. The quality of the wood is excellent. Its been a great asset to us during lockdown as Ive used it as an office too. Weve converted ours so its an extra bedroom for friends staying over. Weve got a double bed, dressing table, small kitchen and separate toilet in ours. We also had the matching shed fitted to the side. Dont hesitate to buy one, they are fabulous!”
“Im just going to keep it short, I have nothing bad to say about Tuin and my log cabin. I would 100% recommend this company and would definitely buy from them again.”
“We love our Log Cabin! It arrived packed in polythene sheets to protect every piece, glass for windows was protected as well. So easy to put up, every piece was clearly marked. My husband and brother (mainly my brother as my husband is lazy and stood around!) put the cabin up in about 3 days. We then painted it, took around 2/3 coats. We think it looks beautiful! Would definitely buy from Tuin again, everyone working there was very helpful. Especially because planning permission for the cabin from our local council took so long, Tuin held the cabin for us. Truly exceptional.”
“The delivery of my cabin was on time. I was kept up to date with my order. Receiving the delivery is a little overwhelming at first but once you start the build it soon gets easy. I found the build fun and enjoyable to do. Any parts I got stuck on were usually sorted out by reading instructions or using Tuin website videos. If I needed further help there was an out of hours contact email address who replied quickly each time and gave me help and reassurance. I was missing 1 composite beam. Once reported this was sent out asap for me. My cabin has been up for 4 months now. Had some amazing times in it so far. My friends and family are very envious. Thank you Tuin :-)”
