“I was looking for a shed and came across this website and was impressed at the range of designs and sizes to suit all tastes, I eventually decided to go for the Peter Log cabin as it was just what I wanted and on offer. I was worried about the delivery lorry getting down our narrow close, so I called the help line and they assured me that the driver will assess the access first and use his fork lift truck to drop off the load on my drive. The build quality of the cabin is really impressive and ease of assembly which at first was daunting but was easy for my wife and I to construct. Overall a fantastic product from a 1st class company and a pleasure to have purchased my Peter cabin from you.”
“I don't have a huge garden so the Peter log cabin was an ideal size, plus under 2.5 mtrs high so no problems with planning as it was to go next to the boundary. I live on a steep hill with my driveway going off it at a slope up of 1 in 5, plus it's a bus route! The order was made and the call regarding delivery was received not long after, delivery being by artic. from Holland a week later. When it arrived the driver parked just past our house, opened up the side curtain to reveal log cabin kits top to bottom, mine being on the top. The driver then got a special type of forklift off the back of the trailer, which can drive sideways, hooked the kit on and brought it up almost to the top of my drive, totally calm even though the road was blocked for about 10 minutes while this was done. I'd already made a flat concrete base so started building the following day and it took 2 days for me and my wife to build it up the roof, with another couple of days to put the shingles on. We are both in our mid sixties but so long as you follow the instructions and use common sense is was supprisingly easy to put together. The instructions (drawings) that come with the kit show each log with a number which is also shown on the actual log with a small sticker. Follow the online Tuin guide which is really helpful and has some top tips. I insulated my roof with Kingspan type stuff, nailing the shingles through this into the roof boards so I did have to buy longer roofing nails. Similarly I laid a damp proof membrane over the floor and up te sides a couple of inches then put the same insulation on top of that and then Laminate flooring on top of that. The double door was my only headache as the gap in between the 2 doors was too wide to take up with hinge adjustment and in my opinion needed the frame making smaller. Tuin were very concerned I had this problem and were very helpful culminating in them offering to either replae the door set or taking mine back and narrowing it slightlyto fit. This was nice to know that that sort of support is there, however in the end I decided to narrow the door frame by 10mm myself (to save time) which makes the doors fit nicely. It's now had a coat of anti rot/bug treatment and 2 coats of Sadolin Superdec and looks a treat.”
“Cabin was delivered when I was told. Lovely, polite driver. Cabin exactly as per description. I had to watch my son and his mate put it up from the kitchen window as unfortunately I broke my leg the day after it was delivered and was unable to help with it.. watching it being put up so easily was a pleasure to watch. Cabin was erected within the day. Just waiting for the shingles to go on. It looks brilliant and the amount of people who have come round to see me and have commented on how good it looks. “Very pleased with service. Delivery driver put the cabin on the drive where I requested. Me and my husband have built the cabin. Im project manager and gopher, hubby does have the common sense. We worked in stages and it took us a week. We just need to finish the internal 26mm tongue and groove flooring we bought too. This is giving me a bit of a head ache as need to keep male /female pieces the same way but some of the timber not great. Overall would definitely recommend and i am very pleased with my log cabin. One note - I think the paper instructions should have bullet points/reminders at different stages of the build. We watched the videos but some bits not clear - also were in our 50s and forget easily. The screws in the bags supplied were too long for the side batons /fascia supports so we had to purchase those.”
“Bought this cabin but circumstances prevented building it until now. Slight delay in receiving the delivery, reported to be due to quality control delaying dispatch. On receipt it is excellent quality and exactly what I wanted for my garden. Build is in progress now after looking at helpful videos and paper instructions. Free roofing shingles are a fantastic bonus. I am so pleased I have now ordered more roofing shingles to put on my other log cabin and gazebo.”
