“Unfortunately, I believed the hype about this toothbrush in a recent review of the 'best electric toothbrush in 2024. I have used Panasonic until now and I have to say the Spotlight sonic toothbrush is a pale shadow of its power and effectiveness. The Spotlight even on the tougher whitening programme, just does not clean my teeth. Very disappointing for an expensive product.”

“This is not my first Sonic Toothbrush, but my second one. The first one broke when I tried to replace the brush head. Its very easy to attach a new brush head to the handle, but very difficult to remove the old one. You have to pull it very hard. I removed it and replaced it with a new one which didn't vibrate when I switched it on. The handle was vibrating but not the brush. I think I had damaged the connection between the two when I forced the old one off the handle.
Nevertheless, I bought a new one; partly because I was expecting a 35% discount.
The discount was shown on the webpage but wasn't applied to my order. Maybe it was because I wasn't a new customer.
The toothbrush comes with a users manual; a small booklet which states on the back cover that there is a 2 year warranty. But there is no procedure to record the purchase date and send it to the maunufacturer. I just sent the purchase date in an e-mail.
Apart from these issues, the toothbrush and the users manual are very good value and changed the way I brush my teeth.”

“Initially I thought this was a great toothbrush. My teeth feel much cleaner than with other electric toothbrushes. However once the toothbrush ran out of battery I followed the instructions to charge it, leaving it on charge for the requisite 15 hours. When I then tried to use the toothbrush the battery ran out within 1 minute. I tried twice with two different plugs and sockets and had the same outcome. Very disappointing!”
