“This is a great saw. It is part of Makita's budget range, but for a DIY user like me, it is absolutely fine. I have been sawing trees and pruning. It can tackle quite thick trunks - easily 15cms - 6". It is much better ( less frightening) than a chain saw. I am very pleased with my purchase. The only thing that I would warn of is that the blade does not stop instantly the trigger is released. You need to make sure that you are in control of the saw - obviously - but a few seconds of cutting could be dangerous. Once I realised how it works, this was not a problem.”
