“Great concept and customer experience - but we found the softest configuration was still a little too firm for our taste, so took up the option of swapping the soft layer for extra soft (note that you have to pay an extra non-refundable postage charge to do this). I have back problems and the modular nature of the mattress meant each layer of foam was light enough for me to carry upstairs easily on my own which was an added bonus. If I have one tiny criticism, it would be that the same modular nature means it never has the perfectly formed sides of a new conventional mattress no matter how hard you try and line the layers up - but it's difficult to see how that can be avoided given the concept and you don't notice it much anyway. Natural latex is an expensive raw material but we really like its properties, and given you spend a third of your life in bed, a good mattress is worth every penny and we feel that is the case with the Una.”

“Delivery was an issue but that was down to the courier. Una’s customer service and communication was excellent. I love that you can choose the firmness but most importantly love its environmental credentials and is free from nasty chemicals”

“I spent a lot of time researching the options for my new mattress. I was keen for it to be long lasting, perfectly comfortable and sustainable. Una ticked the boxes the best, but it’s always a bit scary buying something like a mattress without trying it! I needn’t have worried, it’s absolutely perfect. I haven’t slept so well in years! I particularly like that each side can be set up differently. It’s easy to assemble and easier to deliver as in layers. If I wanted to, I could change the softness by switching the layers around. A one piece mattress wouldn’t do that. Take the plunge!”

“So comfortable from the first night, with no smell (unlike memory foam mattresses). Love the fact that you can have a completely different configuration than your partner if needed. This was a considered purchase as we wanted something sustainable and natural.”

“We were surprised at how heavy the latex mattresses were so found it quite hard work carrying them upstairs and putting them on our bed. It is great that they come in 3 layers though, soft, medium and firm as we can choose which we prefer. We found them comfortable from the start (after being used to a Tempur memory foam mattress) if slightly different from what we were used to. The nicest feature for me is that it is much cooler than the foam one, especially with the hot summer we had this year. I sleep on the soft mattress whereas my husband prefers the medium one so we are both happy. One odd thing is that when we get out of bed each morning there is a ridge in the middle of the bed. I rang to tell you about the problem but you were as puzzled as we were. I then found if I pat it down before making the bed it disappears. So maybe this is something to do with the way we lay, I don't know. Anyway it is not a problem now and we are very happy with our new mattress. Especially as it is so ecofriendly!”

Hi Lee, You write that its comfy which is good to hear but please also email us with any specifics that you are not happy with. The mattresses are made only from the finest organic certified materials which cost more to make but also last up to four times longer than cheaper synthetic alternatives. Best wishes, Alex
