“I've been asked to review a double mattress but actually purchased a single one! The Una mattress was a replacement and total upgrade for a crud memory foam mattress with coil springs. I'd suffered progressively worse torture by the memory foam mattress over five years and latterly it caused me the most terrible pain in my neck and lower back. I also became hypothyroid, despite being underweight, which I blame on fire retardant, which is a known to contain endocrine-blocking chemicals. So my first night on the Una Mattress was an instant cure for my neck and backache. I had the three layers of the mattress in standard order, with the hard one at the bottom, the soft one in the middle, and the medium one on top. I did need help lifting the layers in the cover and zipping it up, and doubt that I could have managed on my own. At the same time as buying the mattress, I bought a pillow and that is heaven, too. Being a back-sleeper who occasionally likes to sleep on her side, I decided to take the smaller layer of the two in the zip-up cover and use this separately, either to provide additional height under the top of the larger pillow, or to put between my knees if lying on my side. This arrangement works excellently. I'm generally feeling in much better health and more energetic, so am hoping my thyroid is slowly recovering now it isn't being nightly assaulted by fire-retardant chemicals. I can honestly say that my Una Mattress is the best mattress I've ever had.”

“Received an email to review - Took some time to arrange delivery as the separate delivery company they use only did Tues and Thursdays to my area all day appointments. I had to get a friend to help me assemble it, a week into sleeping on it still not used to it as it feels very firm compared to my old mattress even on the softest configuration. The first night I woke up like I had been bruised all over, day 7 I am still waking up tired - so not sleeping as well as my old one but less stiff than day 1. The plastic wrap smell is less now as it was overwhelming but I didn't have room to air the three pieces out before assembling.”

“The bad first: Not a major issue but the delivery company used to deliver the mattress is a bit quirky. They literally can't tell you what day they will send the mattress out but they text you a day or so before then you can decline / accept. This happens until you find a delivery slot you can make ! This was a minor issue for me. The good : Incredibly well thought out product. Once the boxes were in my house, it was a breeze to put everything together. Someone has obviously gone to a lot of time and trouble to anticipate what questions or problems you might encounter and everything is fool proof ! The mattress exudes quality and it's one of those things that the moment you open the box you realise you made the right choice ! Well built, fantastic attention to detail and attentive customer support should you need it. First night sleep was the best I can remember in a long time. I know there is supposed to be an acclimatisation period for latex mattresses but mine was like 10 seconds flat ! Mattresses are heavy so make sure you have a decent bed frame. All in all this is the Rolls Royce of mattresses. I know it's a 100 day trial and it's only been 3 days for me but I can tell you for sure there's no way this little beauty is going back ! :-)”
