It’s a hit and miss affair as to whether or not the signal of connection is fully completed.
If I use my standard much longer Apple iPhone cable to connect, this works every time but not this new 15CM short isoul nylon braided lighting USB data cable.
End result, very disappointing.”

This particular Lightning Cable is a more durable improvement over Apples original design. The slim aesthetic is pretty much identical to an original lightning cable, as well as the overall cable shielding design and USB connector. The difference is that this cable can take more abuse and can withstand day to day wear and tear.
Whats most important to factor in is that this cable is Apple MFI Certified, a programme Apple runs that guarantees the accessory will work with their devices. With any aftermarket cable you decide to purchase, you should look for MFI Certification.
Unfortunately, I know quite a few people that have simply opted to buy a cheap replacement Lightning Cable from Poundland only to find their iPhone says the accessory is not compatible. It also is not safe to use a non-MFI certified aftermarket cable, as a cheap dodgy cable can be a fire risk due to it not meeting any electrical safety standards.
Overall if you need a replacement cable instead of paying the Apple Tax get a cable that not only works better but will last indefinitely longer too.”
