“I have already submitted a wonderful and raving review of this incredible Ortofon cartridge about 2 weeks ago? I just have not seen it published as of yet? I hope they do publish it though because I spent a considerable amount of time and thought on it. I called out my salesperson and others whom assisted in my due diligence and the sale. I have this Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 Special Edition Moving Magnet Cart mounted on a Technics SL-1210GAE -> PrimaLuna EVO 100 Tube Phono Preamplifier v1 -> dbx 21 Decoder (Bypassable) -> PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amp -> Magnepan 1.7i's & two delicious and tasty subs - MartinLogan and JL Audio. The end result is a MM cart that to my ears sounds as good as an MC. I am very happy. Upscale Audio is the best and of course I highly recommend them. Kevin Deal has assembled one hell of a staff of people at Upscale and they all share the same desired result/ goal - a happy audio customer with no regrets. Thank you Kevin & Kompany!!”

“No review possible, I haven't mounted the cartridge yet. A friend lost a spring from the michell gyro I use, and I have been struggling to decide if I want to upgrade the power supply, for a thousand bucks, when I order replacment springs and a new belt. the cartridge will be going on a michell technoarm"A" and should work well since ortofon has it listed on their site as one of a few good choices for that arm. I must admit ortofon's relism about suitable carts clashed with my ego. I was triggered by the black friday price reduction, ortofon's reputation for quality control , and the amount of features in the cart. it seems a pretty close replacment for a nice discontinued top of line shure that got distroyed by the same friend who lost the turntable spring, , and I would rather have OEM replacment styli than having to send to japan for a knock off almost OEM styli, although that worked very well. I voice my system for classical , figuring the rock and simple stuff that is my primary interest can take care of itself.”

“I am totally with the Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250! The best MM cartridge I've heard. I love the natural analog sound of it. Crystal clear with smooth midrange and deep tight bass. I like it better than all of the MC cartridges in the price range that I auditioned. Thank you Upscale Audio!”

“Extraordinary. Worth the cost. Richly opens up the sound. Glad I didn't listen to Al, who insisted that the cartridge wouldn't work well with my turntable setup. He was wrong. Amazing cartridge, so-so customer service from Al at Upscale. I've never experienced anyone who became so grumpy about me wanting to spend more money.”
