“Took off the underwhelming MoFi(Audio Technica) cart from my Studio Deck and replaced with the Sumiko Amethyst. I couldn't be happier with this MM Juggernaut. The sonic highs and lows destroy the old needle. It's like I have no more mid and all highs and lows which I absolutely love. This is a top tier MM Cartridge”

“Went from the Sumiko Moonstone that came with my Pro-Ject X2 to a Sumiko Bluepoint (mc) that failed after 8 months. Went back to the Moonstone & then to the Amethyst. The Amethyst has more depth & detail than the Moonstone but with less warmth. Of the 3 the Bluepoint sounded the best to my ears. Even so, the Amethyst is an excellent cartridge.”
