“I've rolled a number of the big player NOS 12ax7's in my Mc275. To my ears this one comes across as the smoothest and most enjoyable to listen to. While the others have their own unique characteristics, I find them to be a bit grainy, etched, and up front while this medical strikes just the right balance with a real sense of quality and refinement that offers less listening fatigue.”

“I let these burn in for approx 100 hours. Found them to be very detailed throughout the range, excellent soundstage with detailed imaging and focus....plus delightfully musical. What else can you ask for!”

“This Medical Amerpex is, really, honestly, incredibly good. I have it in the V3 position of my modded EAR 834p. That spot has seen a Telefunken smooth plate and also a Tungsram, both NOS. The Amperex sounds more musical, more resolving, and more open than either. It just brings me closer to the music and sounds "right." Yes, it's a bit pricey, but I'm very happy with my purchase.”
