“This amp works very well with my Brooklyn DAC+ and Focal Aria 936 speakers. However the amp's analog inputs are a little picky about input levels. After I inserted a 20dB(!) RCA attenuator (from Rothwell) the sound is sweet as it should be, even at crazy loud levels.”

“When we heard the incredible warmth, depth and exceptional mid-range beauty of the Wharfedale Linton Heritage speakers we knew we needed an amplifier that could match their strengths. The Arcam SA20 does that and more. Janis Joplin is standing in front of you with the guitars off to the left. When Ben Webster and Oscar Peterson are weaving their magic you are sitting on the end of Oscar's piano bench. Jean Redpath's vocals and Keith Jarrett's piano have nuisances lost with other systems. You are sitting in while Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan are In Session. Shake the foundation or turn it down low, the Arcam SA20 delivers.”

“The SA20 was right in the sweet spot of what I was looking for in a new amp upgrade. I'm very pleased with the build quality and performance. More watts per channel than I'd ever need. But I have turned up the volume when my wife is out of the house. Wow, such low distortion that it just rocks! But when I listen to Jazz at a lower volume the sound stage is authentic to my ears. This amp with Tannoy Revolution XT 6F speakers/and an Arcam CDS50 player represented a big personal upgrade to my system. The team at Upscale audio understood my needs and helped me find the right system. I couldn't be more pleased.”
