“I've only had one previous external phono stage which I liked but the Elac PPA-2 blew it away with its dynamic output, crystal clear transparancy and detail. Another thing is the soundstage is enhanced dramatically in width as well as depth... and instrument separation is outstanding. At first, it seemed bright but with time it mellowed and now remains dynamic but very balanced and not the least harsh. Another great feature is the ability to input two turntables that can be separately set up and switched with the push of one button. Makes for easy comparison between cartridges etc... I love this feature and use it often. Lastly, I admit I'm no expert but I can say I'm very happy with my choice and with the value of the Elac Alchemy Series PPA-2.”

“Very satisfied with this pre-amp. Super quiet soundstage. Pairs very well with my Denon 103 MC cartridge. No regrets. Will keep this phono amp for a long time.”

“Nothing short of Amazing! The features and the ability to fine tune the load are good. The sound is amazing. Wide soundstage and extracts many details I didn’t know existed. I’m truly rediscovering my records. Originally bought the Rega Fono MC and knew something was missing. Traded up to the ELAC and no looking back. If you’re looking for an amazing phono preamp under $2k, you won’t find better. Trust me and trust your ears!”
