“Truth be told, i didn't much care for it right off the bat. I consulted Aries S1 owners on the Auralic community website, and it was a suggestion to "burn in" the unit. So I tried it. I put it on a radio streamung station for 3 days straight with the rest of my system turned off. When I went back to listening, the sound was lovely. Much smoother, and great lifelike soundstage. I'm really glad I bought it. I am now considering the S1 Linear Power Supply, but actually, I'm already happy with the sound. :)”

“Fantastic quality at a great price. Allows you to hear the details while remaining musical. In addition, it's more than a network streamer it's a processor - meaning it takes and processes other inputs such as Toslink, Coax SPDIF and USB. This allows me to feed all of my inputs into (TV) and uses it FEMTO clock and upsampling. Great all around device. Disappointed it doesn't fully support Android but it's support of Roon makes up for it. Enhanced my audio system.”

“After the update of the software everything worked very well, I am very happy with this product and it's capabilities; I can stream, I've added a powered ssd and can even play my 1400+ cd's stored on the ssd. I was saddened that the included qubus free trial period certificate was out of date. I would have liked to try it. Usually, I'm a Pandora and Spotify guy, but Spotify's music selections has become way to generic second hand remakes of popular music. All in all, thanks for a wonderful purchasing and followup experience. Best Frank”

“I went from a BS Node N130 to this Aries S1. Both connected to my Denafrips Pontus II 12th DAC. I was skeptical that a streamer only component could make much of a positive difference (after-all it just puts out 1s & 0s right?). Yes, it’s significantly more expensive than the Node but so is the undeniable improvement in sound quality. The nuances are perceptible and clear. It’s the top quality of the internal components and overall build that puts this streamer head and shoulders above many of its competitors. It was definitely worth the investment.”
