“The improvement when isolating my DAC from the dirty USB noise from my MacBook Pro 16 with M1 Pro chip is quite remarkable. I noticed more refined transients without any truncation in note edges as well as better bass definition where instead of one note bass, it had more texture without sacrificing bass heft. Highly recommended as an in between streamer and DAC. For streamer, network acoustics products are also highly recommended. If using Diretta target out of a USB streamer, you’ll definitely need the BADA USB Series 2 to improve the sound out your DACs”

“I can comfortably say that streaming using Audirvana on my Macbook Pro 16 M1 Pro using the Berkeley Design Audio Alpha USB Series 2 that this setup easily rivals very expensive streamers out there in sound quality”

“When I bought this unit as an open box item from Upscale Audio, they went above and beyond by sending this unit to Berkeley Audio Design to get the Series 2 USB upgrade free on the house. Sean was so helpful and I couldn't believe what a difference it made to the sound stage even though I already had a Reference Series 2 DAC. It's night and day difference with better micro and macro detail with music I was playing through Roon on a Lunmin U2 running both running Qobuz and Tidal. I also have bought a REL 98 classic subwoofer along with Nordost Heimdall Series 2 interconnects and speaker connections from Upscale Audio. Love the support and customer service from Upscale.”
