“Installed in a small space with moderate treatments, driving modified KEF speakers and Hsu VTF-3. Pros: Well designed, very easy to set up, excellent form factor. Controls are almost all intuitive. Surprisingly good soundstage and noise floor at this price. Able to navigate a network drive with 20,000 FLAC files without any fuss. A/V playback is sharp and punchy. Cons: Bearing in mind that at this price we're not talking about a purist audiophile receiver: Amplification is decent but I will take advantage of the provided pre-outs for monoblocks. A little ringing from room correction showed up in critical listening of some hi-res sources; Pure Direct mode fixed that with a single button press. Still met or beat expectations, and well suited for its intended purpose. Service was great, and shipping was near instantaneous.”
