“This is my first turntable since 1984. The instructions for set up are not very helpful. Fortunately there is an abundance of YouTube videos to make this very easy to set up. One minor issue with the interconnects. The connector at the phono stage end is too small. Given that I would make this purchase again”

“This is an awesome, feature packed turntable. It starts off as the highly rated basic Carbon, with its industry changing carbon fiber tonearm. Next the Esprit adds an integrated speed box 2, which adds the convenience of push button speed change and spot on speed regulation. Lastly it adds the acrylic platter upgrade, which turns this table from good to great. Don't get me wrong, I have an original Carbon with the mdf platter and have enjoyed it for years, but the platter upgrade pushs this table to new heights. Maybe my favorite feature is the outputs. They allow you to use your favorite interconnects or use the included ones. Do yourself a favor and save some money and buy the Esprit version. With $400 dollars in upgrades, you would spend hundreds more buying these upgrades to add if you bought the original Carbon, and you'd have a Speedbox to find a place for. I've bought several items from Upscale including thousands in tubes and their knowledge and customer service is second to none, a breath of fresh air. If upscale has what I need (or think I need), I always buy from Kevin. He will personally jump on the phone and tell you what is what, and be completely honest with you to the point of him telling you that you will be much better off with a cheaper component if so. The truth will set you free, and you get no bullshit from Uncle Kevin or his team. Nobody does what Upscale does, period!”
