“I'm enjoying my Prima Luna Dialogue HP Power Amplifier. It looks fabulous and is built like a tank. I love all 14 tubes glowing in a darkened room. It has an effortless sound quality and superb tonal characteristics to it. It really draws me into the music, often for several hours a session. It is an excellent match for my Wharfedale Linton speakers. The downsides are - it has a very audible noise floor (a hum that measures at 38dB at 1 meter using my sound meter) that no other amplifiers I own have. Other amps I own include a Vincent SP-332, Parasound A52+, Parasound 2125v2, Emotiva XPA-5 Gen 3, Outlaw Audio Model 5000, and a much older Carver TFM-35x. Also, the included remote never worked (my fault) and Josh from Upscale Audio has failed to update me on when I can expect to purchase a replacement. That was over 3 weeks ago. Because I don't have a working remote, I can't try out the Triode mode. Disappointing!”

“I've rated 4 of 5 because I think I am still experimenting with it with different speakers and ultra linear and triode mode. Sometimes I hear a transformative experience with good recordings I know well. Sometimes I don't perceive too much difference from the previous Rotel Rb-985 mk II depending on the recording. That Rotel is still a good amp. The PrimaLuna definitely extends considerably deeper in bass and there is a greater sense of quiet and space between instruments that is more apparent on jazz vs rougher around the edges rock records. Definitely excels with piano and thing I love about the triode or ultra linear is you can select on the fly which seems to suit a particular recording better. With my very efficient Def Tech STS tower with its own powered woofer I can leave in triode for more relaxed sound. In ultra linear this speaker and the power of the PrimaLuna can almost be overwhelming. With the Magnepan LRS it is a different story. It needs all power it can get so ultra linear the way to go for full tilt listening.”

“Lovin this Amp! I have fallen in love with Primaluna. Liked it so much I bought a 2nd one. Thanks to Kat and the whole upscale team. Thay have been the best at helping me get what I wanted and the whole thing up and running.”
